I would not have bought this for myself based on the cover, but I was glad to receive it as a gift. While the writing style is somewhat childish and the character development ham fisted, the Dragonlance Chronicles trilogy are a fun romp through a classic fantasy world, complete with dragons, magic swords, knights, and feisty young women whose only weakness is their love for their hero.

Having started to read the Dragon Lance Series, I couldn't stop. It's full of great characters, intrigue and action aplenty! It's unfortunate that I'll have to wait until September for the next book in the Series - I'm all agog!!! I'm now ready to start reading anything else I can find, written by Margaret Weiss, on the Amazon Website. I will be ordering soon. When I read a book, or books, I really enjoy,I always recommend them to friends and family - happy reading!!

The last book in the series, DoSD ties the whole thing together. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell you what happens to Kitiara. I know that they are probably letting you make your won conclusions, but still, they should give a hint. Well, I guess it was all right.

Pleeeeeeeease. What a load of guff?!?!?!?
This is one of those times when reading some of the other reviews was totally unhelpful!

well...
You gotta admit the book was pretty good. I could see worse endings to the trilogy. However, most of the characters were pretty much ruined by the 2nd part. Read more

Yeah well......
Yeah well I am sick and tired of all you "these books keep getting worse" people. If you think they could be better you write your own DragonLance novel. Read more

Nice conclusion
Though the whole series seemed a bit cliché to me (too much of the good vs. evil thing), it was still excellent. I read it real fast, which is a good sign. Read more

A Great Trilogy
This trilogy got me started on the Dragonlance series. Perhaps the best fantasy Trilogy I have ever read with the exception of The Dark Elf Trilogy by R.A. Silvertore. Read more

please!
This book is a disgrace to the previous novels in the trilogy. The high point of the book is when Raistlin flies away on a giant green dragon. Read more

Good, but not great
The Spring Dawning is not quite as good as the other two books in the chronicles. It is a good book, but in the beginning it is boring. It doesn't live up to the other two. Read more

Better than Toilken by far!
I think that this book is written extremely well. Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman do an excellent job in describing the scenes and characters. Read more
