Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a truly excellent purchase for Business Studies groups now.
I say 'now' because a) the series showing these episodes is not available on TV as it is too old and b) a few years have passed and pupils can now check how the businesses have done.
That follow up makes this an excellent purchase.
How I have used it in class is as follows:
a. stop the video when the pitch has finished. Class have to predict the result and also to say whether they would invest and why.
b) class lists questions they would ask
c) play the dvd and stop it just before an offer (or complete rejection). Class have to predict the result based on the questions heard
d) follow up on the business - would the class have got their investment back?
I thoroughly recommend that all those who teach Business Studies - and pupils - buy this!

I love dragons den so this boxset is fab.. it made me laugh alot and comes with a booklet telling you more info on the dragons

Of course it would be cleverer to simply watch the series when it is on TV, or record it and watch it once. There is not a lot of "collection-value" of these DVDs, but then, if you have missed several episodes, then there is little other way to catch up. It would have been nice to see at least a sample of one complete session / presentation, as the broadcasts are obviously heavily edited. This would have helped to prepare oneself if there is the desire to possibly go into "the Den" at some point in the future.
