In this energetic period kung fu romp, Jackie Chan style antics are very much the order of the day. Jimmy Liu (nephew of the great star/director Liu Chia Liang)is the wayward youth who neglects his kung fu studies in favour of carousing and practical jokes. But when his father is killed, and his clan disgraced - by Jackie Chan super-villain, Hwang Jan Lee - it's time for some intensive training - under the beady eye of his martial mother (played by Jackie Chan's real life kung fu classmate Phoenix Chen). What could have been a hackneyed bash 'em up is transformed into an invaluable addition to any HK fans collection by the sheer verve and gusto of all the participants.

classic, just classic - right up there with the greats - totally enjoyed and recommend - good fight scenes and full of memories.

This Film was origanilly written for Jackie Chan, and it's fair to say if he had starred it would certainly be a classic.It would have been nice to see Jackie and Hwang Jang Lee on screen together again after seeing them in such classics as 'Drunken Master' and the brilliant 'Snake In The Eagles Shadow'. Jimmy Liu who takes the lead role in this film clearly doesn't have the skills of Jackie Chan. The real star of this film is the woman who plays Jimmy's mother her kung-fu is great. This isn't the best kung-fu film you'll see but I thought it was okay and any fan of these types of films would be glad to have it in their collection.
