Book Description

An amazing non-epic fantasy for all ages that you won't be able to put down!

If you love dragons and magic, then this is for you!

There's something odd about 12 year old Toby, and it's not just his purple eyes or his amazing ability to talk to Klel, the dragon tied up in the castle courtyard.
He's been sacked from every job at the castle and his new job as page to the mysterious Prince Blase is his last chance to avoid a cold winter in the poorhouse.
Then Toby learns a terrible secret that Blaise holds in a stone pendant and the prince's deadly plans for Klel. But Toby finds he has amazing skills that might just be able to help...

he growing interest in dragon books has been fed by an increasing number of books and movies about them. From the very young, to the young at heart, there are dragon stories to suit everyone.
Dragon Valley (Dragon's Apprentice, Shadow Hunters, Dragons' Bane) is a series that may well suit a broad range of reading levels.
It contains no war, politics, religion or adult themes - it is simply a great adventure for all ages.
If you like ...
How to Train Your Dragon, by Cressida Cowell - Dragon's Apprentice is a great next step or a complimentary read for the young at heart.
Eragon, by Christopher Paolini - Dragon's Apprentice is similar in reading level and full of adventure.
Dragon Riders of Pern Series, by Anne McCaffrey - Dragon's Apprentice is a lighter tale of dragons without the adult themes, but just as indepth and enjoyable.

Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally! 3 Oct. 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
The Dragon's Apprentice has at last become available worldwide, gone are the days of having to order a copy from New Zealand and then waiting ages for the post to arrive from the other side of the world! No doubt the Kindle version of Toby & Klel's adventures will fire young imaginations around the globe, just as the paperback version did back in its homeland. Great stuff for younger readers!

3.0 out of 5 stars Intended for Children 28 Oct. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Entertaining. It is a children's book, so fairly short but I enjoyed it. There were twists, you felt for the hero, a bit facile, but it is aimed at kids, who I'm sure would enjoy it.
