Book Description

1 Oct 2008 Dragons Den
In this insightful book, the world of business angels is uncovered, from the amount of angels in existence, where to find them, to how to approach them and how to become one yourself. The book contains real investment histories from some of the UK's top business angels and lists of potential investors. Straight from the dragons’ mouth, Dragons’ Den panellists, including Rachel Elnaugh, Doug Richard and Peter Jones, provide comment about investing on and off air. The book offers invaluable advice to anyone considering approaching a business angel. From the first pitch and valuing your business, through to signing a deal and understanding how much an angel will want to be involved. The author, Modwenna Rees-Mogg, is the founder and CEO of Angel News, the leading website for the business angel community.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dragons or Angels? 24 Nov 2008
Format:Paperback
My angel investing would have taken a different course had this book been written nine years ago when I took my first insane steps! The material is well laid out and clearly organised, and is a cracking read even after a long day [of angel investing!] while returning home on a packed train or plane.
You get alot of book for your money, or rather what it actually is - an investment of incredible worth. Highly informative about the Dragons' Den TV programme although this reviewer has never been able to watch it for mental health reasons.
"Dragons or Angels?" will remain for a long time the definitive word on our industry and should be taken up by business schools as well as angels, seasoned and virgin. The content goes a long way in helping entrepreneurs and potential investors understand each other. There is huge wisdom in these pages and had the manuscript landed on our doormat at RoperPenberthy Publishing, we would not have published it at all, keeping of course all of Modwenna's secrets to ourselves..........But now they are out and business angels everywhere will be better informed than ever.
While waiting for the book to arrive in the post, Modwenna's www.angelnews.co.uk website is an excellent read!
