I loved Pigs Don't Fly - but the sequel and this book left me a little disapointed. Having said that, it's still very readable and I preferred it to Master of Many Treasures - although many of the critcisms of that apply to this too!

This is a really great book. After months of searching, you can imagine I was VERY happy to find it in a local bookstore. I've read a few other books by Mary Brown (with another recently bought, just waiting to be read!) and I'm ashamed to admit that until I read The Draggone's Eg, I hadn't realized the connection between it, Pigs Can't Fly, and The Unlikely Ones. (But I won't say what that is, you'll just have to find out for yourself!)

Ms. Brown has written another wonderful story involving the magical unicorn ring, and a quest for dragons. Even though it isn't very long, it has the feel of an epic. It will make you smile, and warm your heart. A wonderful summer weekend read.
