Format:Audio CD
(Copied bootleg - inferior in almost everyway compared to the newly released legal enhanced version. The front is, on closer inspection, an amateur imitation - compare the printed title. The boooklet brief, low budget with a strange anomally of Strawbs 6-7 years later on the back.
BUT Now - you can have the real thing - AM/Universal have released the real thing on CD - with additional tracks. So ignore this dodgy version.)

I have to completely agree with the other reviewers. This album is a fantastic album but DON`T buy the wrong version. There are two versions available and when I first wrote a review it was to warn people of the bootleg inferior copy. That review only appeared on the bootleg version in the Amazon listing. But now Amazon are duplicating the same reviews on both versions. Goodness knows why. And it is confusing to have both reviews for the bootleg version and the official version when one set of reviews will say its good and others will say it isnt.
So simple rule is this, if its got the A&M logo on the top left hand corner and the product description says its released by "commercial marketing" then its the official version. And it is great and worth getting. A wonderful album.
But if the logo isnt there, and the label details in the product description is "progressive Line" then Its a poor inferior bootleg version and isn`t official. It will be a waste of money.
There is however an official version available which is superior. The only good thing about the bootleg release was that it was the only version available at one time. And I had a copy! I re bought the new release and was so glad i did. Please support the artists and all those involved in the creation of this fantastic album and those people who lovingly restored it and made it available by buying the official release. Avoid the bootleg version and don`t waste your money

Format:Audio CD
This album has only been released officially in South Korea and it was very hard do get. It's now remastered with a exellent booklet written by Mark Powell. The sound quality is very good indeed and one wonders why it took so long to release one of the best albums by The Strawbs. All's well that ends well!
The album is a more striped down affair if you compare it to their first album. Tony Visconti's production give a more pastoral feeling than any other album made by the band, and it sounds a bit like Nick Drakes first album. There is no "stand out tracks" on the album, since all the songs, written mostly by Dave Cousins, is of highest standard, but if I have to pick a few favorites it will be "Another Day", "I Turned my Face ...", "Josephine" and the title track.
