I enjoyed this book. Dan Willis has a flare for adventure. The plot kept me turning pages, and the characters were so real that they almost feel like part of my own family.

Fantasy at it's best, 23 Dec 2004

If you enjoy epic fantasy then you will enjoy this book. It has all the elements that I love about good fantasy novels: fantastic beasts, well balanced action, cool magic effects, moments of wonder, suspense, and real emotion. Great fantasy doesn't just include great action but there is always a noble fight against evil, against seemingly unbeatable evil beasts and 'bad guys' as well as against the evil inside the characters themselves. I like the way Dan Willis handles all these elements. The Dragon Well is a fun and statisfying read.

Best book in the series thus far..., 11 Dec 2004

The Dragon Well by Dan Willis is the best book so far in Dragon Lance® The New Adventures series. It brings to the series several new and interesting people and also uncovers more of each of the teenagers past.
The story is well written and seems to move along at a greater pace than the first two. My wife and I enjoyed the description of action and the appropriate description of the surronundings (not too much, not too little).
We can't wait for our children to be old enough to read this series, so they can garner some of the character building traits these youths have. We also can't wait for the rest of the series.
