First off, when you see a kung fu film with familiar stars, John Liu, Dragon Lee and Philip Ko you assume that you are going to be watching a sure fire winner. Whereas this is possible, be prepared to watch a funny (but serious) kung fu movie that stretches bad taste even further and puts the word bizarre to a new level.
John Liu and Tino Wong are masters of the strike rock fist (never heard of that technique before) that defeat anyone who dare opposes them especially Philip Ko sporting a ridiculous wig and over the top eyebrows. Eventually the two masters let their egos take the better of them and they have a duel together to decide the real master. John Liu is the winner (no surprise there).
Twenty years later the sons of these two men meet by chance (the same men of course only "younger") and Tong the dead mans son seeks his revenge, however Liu is too good and defeats him each time they fight. Meanwhile Philip Ko (without the wig) shows up killing anyone who succeeds in a competition by a deranged looking madman in a wheelchair.
Look out for the scene where the wheelchair man (thats his title since his name is never mentioned) takes his medicine and you'll know what I mean by bad taste. You will also find out how he ends up in the wheelchair. Dragon Lee only has a small cameo appearance in this film and despite having a short fight with leading man Liu he does a good job at finishing off the wheelchair madman.
Eventually Philip Ko meets up with Liu and Tong and the trio have an average two on one fight. As with all kung fu flicks the plot starts falling so forget about the story and just enjoy the marvellous leg work of Liu.
There is also an appearance from the legend himself Bolo Yeung.
Overall, very enjoyable and one to recommend to any martial art fan.
