This book is wonderful. The characters are amazingly thought out and none of them are black and white. Nothing is to be as simple as it appears. you really feel for Andry as he realises that his family no longer trust him even as we see that he does the things ne does for a very good reason. A reason that is slowly revealed to the rest of the characters. The attacks of ther Vellant'im are almost unbelievable and the end is heart renchingly sad. I have read this book so many times in the last few years, but everytime I find something new.
