This product does exactly what it says on the box! After trying ViaVoice, Voice Xpress, and many other speech recognition programs I found that they were not only waste of money, but a waste of time. There is nothing more annoying than trying to write out a long e-mail, letter or a essay and reading it back to yourself, only to find that "I" has been confused with "My".

As i had spent a lot of money on voice recognition software before I decide to get the standard version of this program. After reading a short story to the computer you are set to go.

With this program, you can:
Surf the Web by using your voice
create e-mails, instant messages and documents simply by speaking
use voice commands to control virtually all of Windows-based applications
and many, many more!

Although this product is expensive it is worth the money! The good thing with a speech recognition software is that it never spells anything incorrectly, it saves time on typing letters etc and you don't have to use the mouse or keyboard to control programs -- simply speak what you want to the computer to do!

In my view, I would say that the software is approximately 95% accurate, but taking in mind that I've only been using it for about an hour I Am extremely pleased. I would highly recommended this software to anyone who works in an office, has to type out along documents as part of their daily regime or anyone that generally uses a computer for a long period of time.

I managed to type this review in a matter of minutes using the sophisticated program, if I had typed this out myself it would have taken me about 15 to 20 minutes as I'm such a slow typer. I hope you found this review helpful.

Loading was completely straightforward, as was the training. It is important to persist with the training even after you are working with the software, as you can continue to train it as you go along. Despite comments elsewhere, I have had no problems with the microphone and am delighted with the software. As the saying goes, it does what it says on the package although I wouldn't put the accuracy as high as 95% as some people have claimed -- more like about 90% which of course is still fairly impressive.

I am a writer who specialises in doing long interviews with people which obviously then need transcribing afterwards, so the vast majority of my work is done in Word. As each day of use has gone by, my proficiency has improved greatly and the arduous task of transcribing has suddenly become a pleasure. My only worry is that eventually my typing skills will become rusty!

The obvious purpose of buying the software was to save myself time and effort and unquestionably this software does that for me. I'm very pleased with it.
