A great read for lovers of fantasy adventures! It has always been one of my favorite genres and this book doesn't disappoint. It smoothly continues on from the author's first book. The dragon battles are awesome and the characters are interesting and engaging. what more could you want?! I stayed up a night reading this, I just had to know what was going to happen next! Dragon Isle is a fun and exciting continuation from Mathias' "Through the Wildwood". Mathias has an fantastic ability to weave interlocking stories full of amazing plot twists that keep you wanting for more. His ability to sculpt each character and the scenes reall draws you in, I could hardly put it down! Dragon Isle (The Legend of Vanx Malic) does not disappoint. As a continuing saga, I am looking forward to seeing the new world unfold through the eyes of the author's creative characters.

I don`t normally bother with reviews, but in this case I have no option. Discovered this authors books by accident, he must rank high in the list of fantasy/action writers. Every book has so far exceeded expectations, cracking good stories full of action well paced and many surprises. Can`t say much more than dam good read, waiting for the next one in anticipation.

This isn't the type of book I would normally pick up and read, however the story grasped me right from the beginning. It holds an outstanding insight to the fantasy world beyond our realms of imagination. The story is well written and is definitely a page turner. I would definitely recommend this book as it is definitely worthy of a 4 out of 5 rating.

A bard, a pisshead, and a bit of a mage this can put smile on every fantasy reader's face. But having those three merged in one makes it even more of a great story. Book two lost nothing of first books pace and chaos :) it is just nice read.

Dragon Isle by M. R. Mathias, the second book in the epic fantasy trilogy "The Legend of Vanx Malic". Dragon Isle is a great read for any person who loves the fantasy genre as much as I. Gently kicking things off from where book one ended, M. R. Mathias knits two intense plots together. People left behind, battling fearsome ogres in order to save a young girls life, whilst others try to find a remedy but danger lies firm in their path.

The main protagonist, Vanx Malice is undergoing this treacherous journey beside his well portrayed companions. He faces some of the hardest choices yet to obtain the blood of the wyrm in order to continue this journey for people he has no affiliation with.

A thrilling and nail biting adventure packed with intrigue, risk and an outstanding storyline M.R.M. leaves me with my Kindle grasped tightly waiting for book 3.
