Saw this linked to on the net, thought I'd give it a whirl having got a kindle for Xmas. I was very very impressed, I read a lot of sci fi from Weber to Asimov and all points in between.
Space operas are a personal favourite of mine and this promises to be a decent series should the author manage to repeat his success with this book, not focused on one character as much as the Honor series is and having just the right mix of technical description and story telling I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I loved the descriptions of the attacks and the interesting take on weaponry and technology that the author brings to the table, the fusion of seemingly many influences into a fluid flowing story is enough in itself.
As others have said hurry on the next book and if the author hasn't written it yet then get a move on this is one reader hungry for more.
