This is a superb supplement for the exalted game, it not only provides storytellers with a massive wealth of background litrature for the games main antagonists but provides a coherent means for them to run a game with their players as dragon bloods.
Now, i'm not one to talk down a game i love, but there is one flaw with the main exalted game. it revolves around individual heros plowing their way through hordes of lesser foes, rather than a team working together. with the dragon blood supplement the balance of power is shifted from the individual to the group. cirtain parts of the game system (read; charms) focus on aiding the group, while the background information allows player and Storytellers to move beyond basic character history ("you meet in a bar") in to a far richer background that will keep you cronicle alive for longer than a single gaming session.

All ive tried to do here is cover the basic advantages of this book to the storytellers and players amongst you. by allmeans fine other sources of information befor you buy this, but trust me, it rocks.

The Exalted line of RPGs have several books that details the various exalted types you can play in addition to the Solar Exalted that are described in the main rulebook. This book is certainly the best of these hardcover books.

In short, the book details the lowest-powered but by far the most numerous of the exalted types, the terrestrial exalted, also known as the Dragon-Blooded. These exalted have build an empire on the ruins of the first age and this book tells you how to play one of these characters in the Age of Sorrows when their Emperess has disappeared, leaving the realm in disarray.

The book is well written, and the descriptions of the life of a Dragon-Blooded is quite fascinating enough to want to play one of them. This is one of the books that really gives flavor to the Exalted world and it has plenty of opportunities for interesting roleplaying. In some cases even more so than the main book.
