5.0 out of 5 stars As always a brilliant fun read 29 July 2013

I stumbled upon scuse me while i kill this guy and loved the lighthearted humour along with the mix of action and a bit of romance on the side.

My favourite stories from this collection of historical stories of the descendants to the bombays in the previous books are just as fun, lightheated and action packed.

You have to read them!

Loved reading about Bombay history. Having read the first book in the series I knew this would be a laugh. It was. Will now read the rest and look forward to the Christmas special.

5.0 out of 5 stars More, More, More 23 July 2013

I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the Bombay books, but I think this one is my favorite. The level of detail lovingly twined into each story, juxtaposed with some modern-ish elements (that only served to highlight the fact the Bombay family was at the forefront of every trend) makes for a wonderful series of stories, all told from different perspectives, in different voices. Take a favorite tale from childhood, add in some beautifully crafted embellishments, toss in a dash of wicked, dark humor, then shake until thoroughly dead. :) I think my favorite was the title story - though Versailles' was a very, very close second. Once again, Langtry charms, surprises and delights with humor and whimsical storytelling.

More, now. Please? :)

5.0 out of 5 stars You have to read this one 1 Aug. 2013

If you've read any of the Bombay Family stories then you have to read this one. It's the perfect one. I have laughed till my sides hurt with the other stories and now this one just ties the family history totally together. Ms. Langtry is completely unique. What a treasure she is as an author. With her mind and wit working it's simply a guarantee that the story will be a winner. Like knowing that anything by Spielberg will be worth watching, you have to know that anything by Langtry will be worth reading. I love this author!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best of the best 24 July 2013

I just discovered the Bombay family this year, and I can't believe I waited so long. When I found out there was a new book coming out in the series, I made a point of pre-ordering it the first day it was available. It was well worth it. It popped up in my Kindle yesterday, and I stayed up half the night finishing it. One more chapter, one more chapter...

This is the Bombays in all their glory, from the very beginning of the family through some of their more amusing jobs. It's a good thing I live alone or I'd have woken someone up with the loud laughter at 2 in the morning. I loved this, and can't wait for the next one!
