Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World

The dragonball z budokai games were outstanding until the budokai tenkaichi games came out. Dragonball z (budokai 4) infinite world's gameplay is just like budokai 3 but there are some changes in this game. This game can run on 60hz by pressing the L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 buttons all together at the language select screen when you switch the game on. The stuff this game has to offer is...

Dragon mission - In this mode you play as different z characters only when you complete the game and go back to that saga ,when you first play this mode you play as goku as he goes through the saiyan saga ,frieza saga ,cell saga ,majin buu saga and the dragonball GT saga (there is a hidden story after the gt saga). As well as fighting in this mode there are also activities in this game.

On the saiyan saga there is chasing after raditz where you pass through checkpoints racing against the timer ,travelling along snake way racing against a timer jumping through checkpoints and collecting coins and other things along the way ,on king kai's planet catch bubbles and train with king kai timing your energy blasts to destroy some bricks and kid gohan training with piccolo where you press the button on the screen at the right time.

On the frieza saga there is the race to guru's house where you pass through checkpoints in order and avoid getting caught by vegeta ,goku training on his way to namek where you hit the buttons shown on the screen as quickly as possible ,hit piccolo with chuckle beams when playing as frieza ,hit frieza with destructo discs when playing as krillin and escape to frieza's spaceship as super saiyan goku racing against the timer while passing through checkpoints.

On the cell saga there is battling in the hyperbolic time chamber playing as super saiyan goku against super saiyan gohan and also playing as super saiyan vegeta against super saiyan trunks pressing the buttons at the right time ,vegeta training to become a super saiyan by pressing the buttons on the screen as quickly as possible ,cell (1st form) escaping piccolo while passing through checkpoints ,dragonball hunting where you use bulmas dragon radar to find the dragonball and tien stopping cell from absorbing android 18 (this can be a difficult mission).

On the majin buu saga there is playing with goten where you fly through checkpoints while trying to avoid goten and videl learning to fly where you press the buttons on the screen at the right time.

Dragon duel - In this mode there is 1p vs Cpu ,1p vs 2p ,Cpu vs 2p and Cpu vs Cpu. There are 12 battle stages in total in this game.

Warriors training - Practice your moves.

Warriors room - Here babidi and dabura wait for you to sort out your skills for your characters and you buy skills from the shop here.

There is also the options menu and the hidden mode fighters road which is similar to the dragon arena in dragonball z budokai 3.

As this is one of the budokai games you can't hide behind things like in the budokai tenkaichi series ,you can't fly anywhere only forward up or back and other things and the fighters road is just long and completely boring as you just fight enemy after enemy and janemba has a sound flaw ,you can only play as his 2nd form but he has his voice when he was in his big yellow first form. The graphics are impressive with the cell shaded characters and there are some movie sequences in this budokai game from the dragonball series when you play through dragon mission. This dragonball z game isn't the best one but it's still worth playing it.

If your not a fan of the original Dragonball Z/GT series' your not going to like this game as it is based on the story lines from the original anime. Due to the high popularity of the Dragonball Z: Budokai 3 game (B3), this game was released with very similar graphics and mechanics.

From the start I noticed that the game was geared towards fans because of the absolute difficulty of the game. In B3 the difficulty went up after hard to Z, then Z2; these difficulty settings were still quite easy to play in, for me. However, when I moved up to this game I found that I had to start at very Easy (as the game was slightly harder), I would say the very easy setting is at least equivalent to the hard setting in B3.

Aside from this qwerk and adapting myself to the slightly different fighting style introduced by the game, I'd say it is still enjoyable and also has many more characters than B3; I would encourage any DBZ fan out there to try it, but be aware Budokai 3 is still more fun.

This is a great DBZ game, its fun to play and it has alot of great characters from the anime.
There are some things that could be better but if you are a fan of the anime then i think this is a good buy.
