Goku's final tale. Dragon Ball GT Season 2 includes the Super 17 and Shadow Dragon Sagas, as a bonus A Hero's Legacy movie. The destiny of a legendary warrior, his long path wrought with peril, reaches its apex. The fate of Goku is now tied to that of the world and the most epic toil ever rested on the shoulders of one man has come to be. As one apocalypse is thwarted, another looms! Gokus heroic friends fall around him and the warrior must steel his nerve, for two evil scientists have created the perfect killing machine. Android 17. As the abomination deals out terror with mechanical precision, horrible villains from battles past rise again. Yet even more chaos awaits. The most dangerous power of all time is stirring. The people of Earth have relied upon the power of the Dragon Balls to maintain peace and order, but the mystical relics are cracking and from their creeping chasms, seven Shadow Dragons are unleashed. Each more deadly than the last. Also includes the epic season finale movie.

no where near as good as Dragonball Z. Clumsy script and bad plot progression and poor story continuation but it's Dragonball so I love it.

NOTE: I own the American COMPLETE SERIES DVD's which are the same as the UK versions.
When some people say the word Anime their minds think of various anime's in particular. One of them just happens to be Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball Z was a classic. The original series, Dragon Ball, defined the anime genre for various people, then Dragon Ball Z came along and defined it even more. It became an extremely popular franchise, and still is to this day, but then Dragon Ball GT came a long. Dragon Ball GT was based on the Manga by Akira Toriyama, but was an original idea. Some People refer to this as the black hole of Dragon Ball, but some people do tend to put this series down a bit. While this series is, by far, not the best of the Dragon Ball series, it's still OK and ends the series well.
The cast from the previous Dragon Ball series return for two last seasons of glorious, overpowering, battles. This set has also been digitally remastered, like the previous seasons, and that does show every now and then, but do you expect from a series that's just over ten years old. Again you also get the choice of the Japanese music or the American music. I prefer the American music, because it's rock like soundtrack seems to suit the series better than the dated Japanese soundtrack. But that doesn't mean that the Japanese soundtrack is bad, it just doesn't suit the series as much as the American version.
The plot is set one year, or so, after Dragon Ball Z. When Goku is finishing his training with Uub, emperor Pilaf sneaks into Kami's look out and steals the Black Star Dragon Balls. When he summons the Shenron Goku enters the scene. Pilaf accidently whishes Goku to be a kid again, and then the Dragon Balls spread out across the galaxy.
