5.0 out of 5 stars An epic adventure... 17 Dec. 2014
Platform for Display:Xbox One| Edition:Standard Edition|Verified Purchase
I'd been waiting in anticipation for this game for a long time. As someone who thoroughly enjoyed the epic DA:Origins and liked DA:2 despite its flaws (OK without the characters, 2 would be a pretty poor game...), I couldn't wait to get my hands on Inquisition.

And thankfully it certainly has lived up to, and exceeded, my expectations so far. The game arrived on release day and I've sunk probably around 60 hours into it so far (with a couple of restarts to investigate the different characters you can play as).

I think I have only just started to scratch the surface of the main quest as I have been enjoying the exploration, side quests and gathering followers. All of which are incredibly fun in their own right!

I won't go into the story, as the game has been around long enough now that you can easily read more about it if you wish. Suffice it to say that the characters you meet throughout the game are written and acted excellently and there are several old favourites returning from both previous instalments. The areas themselves are varied and fantastic to look at, there's so much going on - especially when you finally leave the Hinterlands! Also the main story itself is well written with a genuinely horrible bad guy who you really do want to take down.

Finally, through playing so far the only bug I've experienced is the occasional hang up during a conversation with a couple of followers but I think this may now have been fixed. The game runs fabulously on the xbox one with some stunning vistas and great character models (maybe besides the hair...).

This game is definitely worthy of your time!

No need for a wordy review. If you are a fan of the series, buy it.

If, like me, you have never played any Dragon Age before, imagine that Mass Effect 2 and Skyrim had a child. It would be beautiful, smart and take up all your free time. I haven't been this engrossed in a game in a long time.

This game is fantastic. A great improvement over dragon age 2. I think that it uses a lot of the good points from both the games in the series so far and puts them together very well. i have put in about 15 hours of game play so far am completely hooked. Great game.

First of all..this game is top notch. There's been very few games out recently which have really had me sit down and play for hours upon hours and not get tired of playing.
I loved this game through and through. There are still some areas for improvement, some quests still glitch but I'm sure that'll get fixed with the next patch.
The characters are diverse, there's plenty more to choose from, I would however say this game is most definitely not for children, with sex scenes and gore.
The game is long, if you love lengthy RPG's then this is the game for you. So far I have tried to do almost everything in the game, still not completed it on the main story, been too busy with the dragons and side quests and so far up to 230 hours of gameplay on hard difficulty.
The difficulty defintely lives up the name, you have a nightmare mode which tbh I wouldnt even attempt until you figure out the mechanics of the gameplay and battle. Battle isn't much different to the origins battle menu, however you are extremely limited in what you can do. You have a specific amount of moves you can plaster onto your battle menu, whereas before you could use all the moves you'v unlocked. Not this time. You have to be smart in what skills your going to have available to you, which you can chop and change as you like out of battle.
The graphics are amazeballs, the dragons in this game are stunning, the environments are rich and colourful.
The only bad thing I have to say about this game which isnt even that bad and can soon be remedied by patch releases is that some quests still glitch. Some quests will completely not be available to you and will make your box go crazy. But once this is fixed. It'll be perfect.
ONE WORD OF CAUTION!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't want it to end. 23 Dec. 2014
Platform for Display:Xbox One|Edition:Standard Edition
Another game of the year contender for me, alongside Shadows of Mordor. Didn't play a huge amount of Dragon Age Origins or Dragon Age Awkward Middle Child, but I did play a LOT of Mass Effect and this game has that level of quality about it.

There's a lot of Lore. I mean, a megaton on it and it's quite overwhelming at first, but over time, things start to slot into place and the whole thing comes together. This game is epic is scope. The main quest really is only part of the story, the rest is your own to make. Sunk 70 hours into this baby so far and I don't want it to end. Deliberately avoiding the main quest now because this is one game I don't want to end.

Progressive, involving, videogame sex handled well (sometimes - for the first time I've ever seen).... and I genuinely want to play the whole thing over again once I've finished because I want to know what the outcome of alternative decisions I've made would be.

Do not buy unless you have the hours to put in. You won't even scratch the surface. It took me 15 hours to get past the... oh wait, I won't spoil it.... trust me, when you see it, you get a picture of how epic this really is. Buy buy buy. Gaming Gold.
