5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant game! 21 Dec. 2014
By Kez89
Platform for Display:Xbox 360|Edition:Standard Edition
I've been a fan of Dragon Age since day one, so I've been waiting for this release with bated breath for a looooooooong time :P And I can safely say it did NOT disappoint.
Character customisation has come a long way since Origins, and even DA2. You can edit the facial features right down to the definition of cheek bones. There are some pretty cool tutorials online that show you how to make an Arya Stark or Angelina Jolie's Maleficant (courtesy of now having the Qunari as a playable race).
The usual character classes apply (Rogue, Mage, Warrior) except you can choose things like 'archer rogue' or 'dual blades rogue'. This determines your starting stats, you are by no means locked into playing, say, and archer. You can put points into the dual blades skill tree if you change your mind later.
DAI is an open world game with lots of different areas to explore from overgrown jungles to empty deserts. There are hundreds of side quest and collectables that will keep you busy for hours on end. My final save file hit something like 120 hours and I only stopped because I have a few other games I need to finish before Xmas! :P
After the main story is finished you can go back into the game and carry on playing to finish any quests you missed and grab the last collectables.
I've seen a lot of complaints about the graphics quality and bugs. Personally, I think the game looks fine. I had a few texture pops but nothing major. But I am not the sort of gamer that plays for graphics quality. I also encountered a couple of bugs but again, nothing to detract from the (incredibley enjoyable!) experience.
Overall, this game is huge and fun and well worth the wait. I think it's become my favourite Dragon Age!

In Dragon Age: Inquisition the world of Thedas is being torn apart by a massive, mysterious breach in the sky. Players must assume the role of the Inquisitor and lead a team of legendary heroes to uncover the truth behind the impending devastation.

When I’d finally slain my first dragon in Dragon Age: Inquisition, I felt a little sad at the thought that I was probably beginning to exhaust its seemingly endless stream of content. But then I saw the quest ticker: “Dragons Slayed - 1 out of 10.” In all my hours, I had only ever seen three. It’s a surprisingly huge, dense world, and I soon realized there were still entire sandboxes I hadn’t even set foot in. Even in my hundredth hour, I’m still discovering. Despite its less than compelling plot, I still want to go back to explore and fight through every nook and cranny of Dragon Age: Inquisition, until every dragon’s skull is mounted on my wall.

3.0 out of 5 stars Magnificent, but get it on next gen 24 Jan. 2015
Platform for Display:Xbox 360| Edition:Standard Edition|Verified Purchase
This game is magnificent, but on the Xbox 360 or PS3 it struggles.
Graphically, it is good, but there are issues as the Xbox 360 and PS3 can't quite hack it, so you get some odd textures on characters faces and some frame rate drops or late loading textures.
I don't want to ruin the story, but it is very well crafted and you feel for all of the characters (as with all bioware games) and it takes a long time to complete, so you build up relationships with your "Inner Circlee". There is a lot of darkness in the game, but the few light moments are well felt and much appreciated.
My main issue... loading times, each time you travel to a different area, each time you enter a cut scene or boss battle, each time a major event happens you immediately get a loading screen forr 15 seconds, then everything goes black for at least another 15, sometimes up to a whole minute, and for me, it is serious enough to knock 2 stars off the game on the Xbox 360 or PS3.

I stand by that whilst you are actually playing the game, the combat, the drama, the music and the story are all absolutely top notch, but you spend a quarter of your time in loading screens or with half rendered graphics.

Definitely, definitely get Dragon Age Inquisition, but for the love of god, get it on an Xbox One, PS4 or Computer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Why is the text soooooo tiny? 5 Dec. 2014
Platform for Display:Xbox 360| Edition:Standard Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm enjoying the game so far. My only bug-bear is the text is so tiny and blurred in the screen it is unreadable no matter how close you get to the TV. This makes it very hard to know if you are doing the right thing or going in the right direction.

4.0 out of 5 stars Be warned, you can't install to Hard Drive 28 Nov. 2014
By Lister
Platform for Display:Xbox 360|Edition:Standard Edition
The graphics aren't actually that bad, yes they seem pretty low res and the saturation seems off but it's no where near as bad as Origins and the game is excellent, glitches will get patch no doubt and I've not encountered anything game breaking however my biggest gripe is that it comes on 2 discs, one is the install disc and the other is the 'play' disc, the play disc can't be installed so I now have to listen to my Xbox 360's horrible DVD drive spinning while I play for the first time in years. Hopefully this will be patched to install to an external USB at least..

2.0 out of 5 stars Bioware has lost its way... 11 Mar. 2015
Platform for Display:Xbox 360| Edition:Standard Edition|Verified Purchase
Loved the first game, disappointed by the second and haven't managed to get through this one. Game play is very bitty, lots of radiant quests, go here and fetch that/collect x amount of these...I just can't get into it. The main quest line is unlocked gradually by gaining power points acquired by doing random side quests. There are a few characters I like so I will try again in the future.but for someone who has played Dragon Age Origins with every class/gender/origin/decision I am left feeling that Bioware has lost the ability to make great games.
