The layout of this book comes in 2 parts: a potted history of drag, and a directory of drag's "key" personnel. This promises much but is marred by the following: the history section is completly photo-free which I regard as scandalous given the subject matter! Even the directory part is limited to one or two black and white pics of each queen. It would seem that the author can't decide wether he wants his book to taken as serious study or coffee-table flick. In summary, this is interesting enough if you are looking to add to your drag collection, but if your're looking for the definitive book for this subject, then look elswhere! p.s. if anybody knows of any such tome, please e-mail me
