Synopsis
The legend lives on in this chilling blend of horror and science fiction that takes place in outer space during the year 3000. Van Helsing (Casper Van Dien) and Mina (Alexandra Kamp-Groeneveld) are part of an interstellar salvage crew who come across the husk of the ship Demeter, which has been missing for 100 years. Initially thrilled by the prospect of the fortune this find will bring them, the crew boards the Demeter in order to assess the ship and take possession of any valuables left behind. Once there, however, they discover the abandoned ship's terrifying cargo, and accidentally let lose the ancient evil that has been sleeping for a century. In the outer reaches of space, the vampire lives in constant darkness with no threat of sunlight; the crew thus begins a desperate race to reach the light of the Twin Suns of Halbron before none of them are left alive. Coolio also stars as 187, and horror cult icon Udo Kier makes a special appearance.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dont wast your time or money!, 22 April 2007
By Elvira (Denmark) - See all my reviews
This film is a real Bummer, bad sets, bad acting, bad lighting (perdominantly yellow), lousy sound effects, etc etc.
If this film was advertised as a crap Parody for Aliens/Dracula then that would be more of an honest warning!!!
THIS FILM IS NOT SCARY - unless you get scared by (Erika Eleniaks) boobs bouncing around!?

This film deserves no stars what so ever!

1.0 out of 5 stars no,no,no,no,no,no, 24 Jan 2007
now, dont get me wrong, i love many "so bad, its good" horror films, but this so bad, its awful. I've seen better performances in my bowl of rice crispies.Awful story, awful characters, piss-poor attempts at referencing the original book and the least scary vampire EVER. avoid at all costs!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Infinite darkness...........................absolute rubbish., 18 Jan 2007
By M. Massey - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
When the crew of a salvage spacecraft come across the hulk of The Demeter, lost for 50 years, drifting in space, all they can see is a nice fat bonus paycheck. On boarding the craft, however, and finding no crew, but a cargo hold full of coffins, their nightmares are about to begin.....

Or should have been. Unfortunately this is a badly written, badly acted and badly directed update of the Bram Stoker original. The cast on a whole are dreadful, especially Coolio as 187; I've seen trees act better! Udo Kier is the only cast member who at least tries, and he is only seen in flashback as the Demeter's captain.

And surely in the 29th Century, Dracula would not still be wearing a cape.

This film falls into "it's so bad, it's awful" category.

If you want vampire films, stick to Lugosi, Chris Lee and Oldman.

Avoid this one like vampires avoid garlic. Stoker must be turning in his grave.

"Ah.....children of the night, what beautiful music they make"
