Celebrating the reissue of Paradise Lost's seminal 1995 album, Draconian Times MMXI includes a DVD which features a live recording of the band's London show at The Forum, a documentary from the whole tour filmed by the band's bass player Steve Edmondson, interviews about the history of Draconian Times with producer Simon Efemey, Nick Holmes (vocals), Greg Mackintosh (guitar), Aaron Aedy (guitar), Steve Edmondson (bass) and Andy Farrow (manager since 1990) and the two promo videos from Paradise Lost's latest album, Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us.

Format:DVD
Draconian Times first came to my attention during the 1990's when I heard "Enchantment" playing in a local CD store. Instantly impressed, I purchased the CD and having arrived home, played it. What I heard was then, and is to this day, one of the finest rock albums of all time, it was that brilliant!
So to the DVD, I was made aware by an e-mail from Amazon that the band had recorded a live set at The London Forum in April 2011, of course there was no hesitation in ordering it...DEJA-VU!
I recieved the DVD and it took just the opening piano chords of "Enchantment" for this simply outstanding concert to grab my attention, as the CD had done nearly 20 years earlier.
I would like to point out the best moments, but when watching perfection, the entire DVD is one massive high spot, I give it the firm thumbs up..simply outstanding!!
For the people who waste money on the "Now" cd's..buy this and listen to REAL music!

This is an absolutely outstanding dvd from the opening track enchantment to the last note of as i die, Paradise Lost are at the top of their game as the whole atmosphere of the show just oozes out of the screen, what you get is the full power grace and emotion of a paradise lost show.
The only down side is disc 2 which is a waste of time, why bands continue to fill dvds with poor quality behind the scenes footage and interviews the viewer can hardly hear is beyond me, this dvd certainly doesn't need any filler because its the music what counts, and that is second to none, the only positive from the second disc are the two promo videos for faith divides us death unites us and the rise of denial, the faith video is as haunting now as it was the first time i saw it, so beg borrow or steal a copy asap turn up the volume and i guarantee you will be in paradise.

I love Draconian Times since first time I've heard first pieces of music from this masterpiece. After so many years I am able to see complete draconian alive. Music is - as usual - great. Everything is played with passion and great feeling.
Quality is OK for DVD. I miss blu-ray edition...
