I was very excited when I saw the effort BBC Enterprises had put into merchandising for the new Doctor Who series. I purchased one of these mugs and really enjoyed the different sounds, great design and robust feel of the product. Imagine my disappointment, when after a dozen or so uses the insert containing the sound chip dropped out leaving just a mug! There was dried glue on the chip casing which had obviously failed. When I contacted the manufacturers I was told that "they always come apart after a few uses"!!!
A real kick in the teeth.

If you are a Dr Who fan and don't crave peace and quiet when having a cuppa then go for it. But even if you do like a bit of peace now and again then simply twist and remove the musical attachment on the base of the mug! A winner either way!!

I bought this for my husband for christmas 2008, and he loves it he is absolutely mad about Dr Who, and watches them all the time, I also bought him a few other Dr Who items, and I think that was the best christmas he had.
