We bought this book as our son has dyslexia but we didn't read it to him as we felt it would make him feel bad & lose his confidence.

This is a lovely book, which my children clamour for. Zak is a very compelling character, and the detailed information about ADHD is cleverly sneaked into a funny and beautifully illustrated story.

This book although has characters that may appeal to young children, I would find its portrayal of a child with ADHD quite negative.

There are other books out there which are much broader in their description of ADHD characteristics and are more light hearted and show the positive sides to having ADHD not just focusing on the difficult aspects.

Bought this book for my 6 year old who had just been given an ADHD diagnosis.
The book is great, very informative for young children. My son easily recognised the similarities between himself and Zak.
My son reads the story over and over again.
