True to the book with lots of extra surprises when you click, the games offer levels that challenge children at differEnt levels. My 3 and 5 year olds giggle lots while playing this game together. I do wonder how long its appeal will last though. A complement to the book

Last year my four year old got this for Christmas. It seemed a little slow to me at first, at least in comparison to other games he has, but that turned out to be a false concern. He enjoyed all the surprises, and spent many happy hours giggling over the clever animation, calling us to come see. As time went on, he discovered some of the "hidden" games, and mastered them. Now at five, he's using it to teach himself to read, clicking each word to have it read to him. I'm not sure what new ways he'll learn to use this game when he's six, but I'm sure he'll think of something.

Given the other reviews, I'm sure that this would be a fine piece of software if it would just keep running for more than two minutes. It crashes and/or hangs CONSTANTLY. This is on a high spec and fairly new PC that doesn't baulk at all kinds of processor-intensive tasks, but it just can't put up with this piece of software. A complete waste of money, and very frustrating for me and my daughter.

2 minutes.. crash ... 2 minutes.. crash
My son loves the book; we love reading it together. This software started fine and he got into it, but after 2 minutes it froze with no way to recover. Read more
