Great revision aid for FRCA Viva 8 Oct 2011

Along with the podcasts this covers all the fundamental and commonly asked questions of the exam. One down side is that it does not cover or give all the diagrams that are essential to learn, more pictures would sometimes help explain certain concepts better.

I would credit this book with getting me through my Primary SOE. Most of the basic science vivas would be covered with the information found in this handy volume - you'd still need something for the clinical section though.

I would recommend it for candidates sitting the MCQ and for new trainees in Anaesthetics - when you read this you realise what a lot of the MCQs in the Primary are getting at.

Thoroughly recommended - thanks guys.

The vast majority of scripts are covered, but not all are recorded in entirety. I have found this book useful to use with the podcasts. However, the reason for the 3 stars is that some of the script in some of the podcasts is not fully written down in the book. There is also additional text that is not in the respective podcasts. Personally, the reason I bought the book was to have all the script written down to help with learning.
