Juicing Therapy - Miracle book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dr. Jensen's Juicing Therapy: Nature's Way to Better Health and a Longer Life (Dr. Bernard Jensen Library) (Paperback)
A superbly well written book which covers a wide subject area concisely. This book manages to be interesting and informative, and certainly has benefits to give those who follow its wise words. As the son of a person who is suffering final stage bowel cancer i believe that i am in a good position to judge the truth of the content of Juicing Therapy. Just three weeks ago, my mother was lacklustre and without energy, after reading and 'digesting' the information in Dr Jensens book (and obviously using it), there is a considerable improvement. Nothing else we've tried has worked! This book has information that should be of interest to all those who need or like to look after their health - and in my experience it is solid information.

Juicing Therapy,
This review is from: Dr. Jensen's Juicing Therapy: Nature's Way to Better Health and a Longer Life (Dr. Bernard Jensen Library) (Paperback)
An informative, in-depth book of juice recipes and suggestions, for leading a healthy life. A large amount of the book talks about foodstuffs and their nutritional benefits, and also goes into some detail about minerals, vitamins and enzymes and their effect on an individuals health. If you want a book containing 200 juice or smoothie recipes, this is NOT for you, but if you want a book that will detail, to some depth, enhancing your health with juices, then buy it.

Some good foundations,
This review is from: Dr. Jensen's Juicing Therapy: Nature's Way to Better Health and a Longer Life (Dr. Bernard Jensen Library) (Paperback)
People will come to this book from many angles and therefore with many different expectations. And publishers usually try to address as many of these. The result is a book that touches on many areas but fulfills none, and this is the case here:- Juicing history and polemic - Nutritional background - Recipe book As there are many juice recipe books on the market, I wouldn't suggest you approach this title for that matter. It doesn't compare favourably. The history of juicing and its pioneers and practicioners is quite interesting, to satiate curiosity, inspire and, on a more practical level, provide further sources of information. However, this title often gets all evangelical, which is always off-putting in this day and age. On the nutritional front, however, is where it becomes most useful. It offers a relatively comprehensive exposition of all vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, their usefulness/purpose, their sources, deficiencies etc. It helped me further my understanding of alkaline diets, for example, which vitamis to be alert about if on a predominantly vegetarian diet, why we shouldn't consume spinach more than twice a week and so on. Juicing is an activity with profound implications on our health and, unfortunately, an area still shrouded in misconception and mystery, so a lot of background reading and research is required and this book is definitely a useful step on that process.
