4.0 out of 5 stars Dr Frankenstein 4 Feb 2009
Format:Hardcover
A very well thought out book, brought this for my son - he loves it as they have just started learning about anatomy at school (he is 8). Great images which are accompanied by a good description of pretty much all parts of the body so he can learn a bit more than the school are teaching (even thought me a few things that i didn't know - much to his delight).

A very good book which kids love.

4.0 out of 5 stars Frankly fun & informative 12 Sep 2008
By Ami Hassler - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
You, the reader, must assist Dr. Frankenstein in his quest to create a living, breathing human being. This book does not contain tons of bells and whistles, i.e. flaps, maps, stickers, etc. It's brilliance is born out of fabulous illustrations and photographs, a good, clean page layout, and concise, interesting text. While the book may be written for 8 to 12-year-old students, the other huge bonus is that the book has durable board book like pages that can surmount the destructibility of younger readers . The only drawback is the book's price. It's $24.95, but I think $19.95 might have been more suitable. Even with the higher price point, though, the card-stock pages and padded cover are going to allow this book to survive more than one reader per household, giving it a bit of added value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Disregard "Dr. Frankenstein" in the title 26 Jan 2009
By Esther - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
Please don't let "Dr. Frankenstein" in the title turn you off (if it would). There's nothing gross or monster-like in this book and the connection to Dr. Frankenstein is so minimal that your child probably won't even notice it. This book is beautiful and I love the cardboard pages. My 6yo son loved it, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nana 27 Dec 2008
By S. Riley - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I have spent countless hours with my Grandson exploring the wonders of our body. At 4 years old he can discuss the circulatory system, knows about the heart and brain functions, and telling us when he needs to go potty that his bladder is full! The book has cardboard pages and is wonderfully illustrated, this book is a winner!

This book is full of information and fantastic photos, x-rays and illustrations. We're using it as part of our health and anatomy curriculum for homeschool. It's entertaining to read and full of interesting bits of information that keep the kids wanting to page through it again and again. Great book.
