Having seen, and loved, Dr. Dale's How To Survive A Zombie Apocalypse seminar at the Edinburgh Fringe this year I naturally rushed out to buy the book. Unlike many other zombie survival guides this one doesn't take itself too seriously. The humour is first rate, and the advice ranges from the sublime to the hilariously ridiculous. There's something reassuring in knowing that Dr. Dale has taken the time to consider what the Woman's Institute will do in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse. Well written, well researched and funny from A to Z. If you want to survive the inevitable zombie apocalypse you should order immediately, and preferably before your postman turns into a member of the walking dead...

This book has been one of the best zombie dictionaries i have read. I feel that it captures in small doses what other zombie dictionaries in the past have missed. It's quirky, funny, to the point and totally an easy, enjoyable read. From reading this book i am confident in myself that i would, with Dr Dale's support close at hand, be able to survive the apocolypse!

This book has my imagination spurring out of control and thinking of ways to survive that i would have never thought of!

A definate must read! BUY IT TO SURVIVE!!!! X

A brilliant start, especially suggesting the Aardvark be deep frozen and used a bludgeon!
Aliens and The Carpenters song lyrics; hysterical!
Some amazing movie links, and some great advice on why I should learn how to Morris dance, then the peanuts as weapons chapter... I thought this book is turning into a total snort fest!
However, after F it all started to become a bit boring and same; same comments, same references.
I was getting bored and fast reading over some of the, initially funny comments, which were now grating and becoming childish.
A bit like a '70s comedy that continues to do the same slap and tickle gag scenes in different settings.
Maybe this is a book that needs reading in little sections.
I liked the style but not so much the content!

This book is a laugh out loud look at what to do in the event of a zombie attack. It's not like some of the other zombie survival books I've read before, it's so firmly tongue in cheek it's going to lose it's tongue. I genuinely laughed out loud on a number of occasions while reading this book, it goes through the alphabet covering such vastly different topics as how to train sheep to fight zombies for you to how to compose yourself when fighting naked zombies. It's hilarious! I really recommend this book to anyone who has a sense of humour and a love of brain eating monsters!

Recently for some reason I've become interested in reading zombie books and this was the first one I'd found written by a UK author and I liked the idea of adding a bit of comedy.

Overall I enjoyed the book, but it wasn't a 'can't put down book' like others that I've recently read. But I did get a bit bored in the middle. Started to plod along a bit and it was like the author was not quite sure what to write next. There are a few sections that did make me laugh but wasn't the most enjoyable and interesting book I've read recently.

This is the best guide to surviving the zombie apocalypse that I have read. It's light hearted style means if is easy to read and won't bore you to sleep like some of the more main stream text books available. You will find expert advice right from the start. For example if you were stuck in a room full of zombies with nothing but an aardvark for company would you know how to use it to defend yourself? If the answer is no then you need this book. Get it now, it will save your life!

This book is a must for any zombie fan. Intelligently written, witty, varied and has an answer for every zombie related issue there could be. I am also very impressed with the artwork. This is clearly a book that has had a lot of love put into it and is therefore immensely enjoyable. You get a real feel for the character that wrote it.

I bought this book after seeing the team behind it do their highly acclaimed show 'How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse' which recently hit the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. There are also pod-casts by the same team available on iTunes. It is a very amusing spin on the zombie genre and I would highly recommend this book plus the shows!
