This barely qualifies as a book it's a collection of copies from IMDb and Wikipedia. Smells of a cash in on the popularity of the series.
It admits it's not official or affiliated but it doesn't admit the research consists of a day or 2 on the net.
It's full of inaccuracies for eg it's says the series is by the bbc when it's itv. Also Highclere castle is in Berkshire not Hampshire as the book says.
Actor biogs are straight from IMDb with no fact checking. For eg Brendan could is great nephew of sir Matt busby the English footballer legend. He was Scottish and a legendary manager not footballer

I agree with Marisa. This is cobbled together from Wikipedia and other random sources. It's something I could have produced when I was in Secondary school and isn't worth £5. I usually read reviews before I buy, but was in a rush. My mistake! It was supposed to be a given to someone as a present but there's no way I'm giving it to her, it's an embarrassment! Do yourself a favour and don't waste your money.

If you are a real fan of Downton I would say don't buy this book. There is really nothing in there you won't already know. I found it somewhat inaccurate when the author described it as "The smash hit BBC TV series" when we all know it's ITV!

Incredibly disappointed. I bought this as a present for a friend and like another reviewer I was in a hurry and did not look through the preview pages. The quality does not reflect the price. I actually can't believe you are calling this a book, it is more like a school project. A waste of money.

Not much research done at all. Not great value for money and basically just cashing in on the Downton Abbey name. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS RUBBISH!!!!!!!!! I cannot express how poor this actually is!!

If you are a fan of Downton Abbey then this book is a must. Little tit-bits about the characters and the stars who play them, together with background information of a time gone by. A fascinating read and if you are not a fan of the show you probably will be by the end.

Great book to read though I already knew all that the author wrote. I love Downton Abbey and have all on DVD.

Don't waste you money on this pamphlet! Much of it is cobbled from the internet and there are many inaccuracies. It takes less than ten minutes to read and a disgrace at this price.
