Product Description

An industry in turmoil. Fortunes on the line. An explosion of free content.

Everyone knows the titans of the media industry are terrified by the rise of the self-publishing hordes. What if they took their revenge by burying a deadly, ancient curse within an e-book? One that would destroy anyone who downloaded it?

In this brilliantly funny, topical, exciting and slickly gory short story, cult horror and thriller writer Stewart King offers a unique take on the dangerous underbelly of the writing business.

Dare you add it to your virtual bookshelf?

Stewart King's horror novellas have been widely praised.

"X Factor Zombie Massacre is a quick and short run through a twisted landscape of death and pop culture. Stewart King pokes some fun at the phenomena surrounding quick fame, while literally tearing it apart limb by limb. Since it is a novella, there aren’t any slow scenes, so we breeze right through the story. I liked X Factor Zombie Massacre and definitely recommend it to you guys." - Zombie Acres.

Stewart King is a script-writer, editor, and novelist.

Endeavour Press is the UK's leading publisher of digital books.

1.0 out of 5 stars Am I missing something? 16 April 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I recieved this as part of a free promotional email I got from Endevour Press. Having read the review that appeared on Amazon and the blurb in the email (and enjoyed other work by this author) I downloaded this expecting something special. I am prepared to admit that I may have missed something, but I fail to see what all the 'fuss' is about. I didn't find this to be a comic masterpiece (or even funny) and I would recommend caution before paying for this piece of work.

5.0 out of 5 stars It was awesome!! 29 Mar 2012

Well Done!! I was thoroughly spooked and for a brief (everlasting) moment I thought Oh My Goodness - What if this is really black magic? What if this is really real? I honestly hope it isn't - but I'll know when I wake up at a quarter past five tomorrow morning!!

Usually I do not read the excerpts from other books included at the end of a story, but I enjoyed this short story so much, I continued reading. Your X Factor Zombie Massacre looks like a very interesting / scary read.
4.0 out of 5 stars Scary. 13 Aug 2012

There is nothing like a dare to make me download a book.
The story, which is dialogue-driven, is at times pretty scary, then funny, then you get the feeling like you want to believe what is written but you know you shouldn't.
Well done.
Warning. Better not to be read around a fire in a dark forest.
