Sooo funny! Entertaining, witty & well written, this is a light hearted DVD that will cheer you up and have you roaring laughing. Likeable characters, great scenic shots and unbeatable banter - worth every penny!

Rarely have I enjoyed a movie so much. A truly great British comedy well up there with Withnail and I. A bonus was the beautiful cinematography which used the Lake District scenery to full effect. Strongly recommended.
Why was this film not shown in my local cinema? A real indictment on the state of the cinema in Britain.

This is a bit disappointing. We have just finished walking the Coast to Coast route (the focus of the film) and came across a lot on publicity for this film along the way. We were intrigued, enjoyed our walk and wanted to relive it a bit. This leads to my first criticism, while this never purports to be a documentary of the route if you have done the walk the continuity will drive you mad. It is clear that the majority of the filming was done in the Lake District, Shap, Reeth and Keld. These locations are then used as stand ins for the rest of the journey. The result is characters sat in hotels in Reeth having discussions about how far is it to Reeth ... but you are already there!?

The second criticism would be, that as a drama, the coming together of old friends wanting to relive their youth and confronting the passing of time it was weak. There are a few good laughs but mostly it feels like a series of disjointed events strung together. Characters confront major changes in their lives but they offer few insights, Karl Theobald gets closest, but I would have liked more. The trouble is, for me, a TV series like The Trip, has done a much better job of unpicking the threads of aging and how men cope with it. I feel a lot of warmth towards this film because I think its heart is in the right place, however, sadly it feels a bit under cooked.

This film appeals on all levels. You can empathise with all the characters who are not overly complex, just your average Joe (or Caroline or Jen). Money worries, wasted life, sexual problems. We've all been there, done that, worn the t-shirt and thrown up over it.

It's going to be one to watch over and over again for the comedy, the great locations, the classic one liners and a cast we can all relate to. I hope it gets the recognition it deserves when it's time to hand out the gongs.

OMG, the trailers were funny enough, but the film, well worth watching. I won't tell you the story, but its based on the capers of four mid-life crisis men trying to recapture their long left behind youth....

What a great film, a joy from start to finish, great characters especially Julian even though he seemed to have just walked out from Withnail & I (I was waiting for the classic cakes and fine wines speech).
The black humour is quick witted and sharp, the story is well written and presented in a way that most walkers will empathise with.
A gem of a film, get your copy today!!!

Brilliant movie and although I'm a keen walker this would also appeal to my non walking friends.
There were plenty of 'laugh out loud' moments but some rather poignant moments too.
Excellent acting and superb background scenery.I recommend highly.

It's a beautiful film. Very funny and very poignant. Made me laugh out loud many times and shed a couple of tears too. And I don't even like walking! Can't recommend it highly enough.
