'Down To My Grave' contains 1930s dustbowl style vocals with more groove than the vinyl it should have been pressed on. Ironweed is the brainchild of legendary writer, producer and vocalist, Aniff Akinola, whose past achievements have been to form the band 'Chapter and Verse' with Colin Thorpe; discover and produce 'A Guy Called Gerald', co-writing the classic house anthem 'Voodoo Ray'; writing and producing Urban Cookie Collective's 'The Key the Secret'; co-writing with The Beloved, Steve Hillage and Alex Patterson on Kirsty MacColl's hit 'Walking Down Madison'; and top twenty hit with Backyard Dogs, ‘Baddest Ruffest’ which went on to become the World Cup theme music. Featured on the SuperCity album and Digital Northerner these tracks have already received much critical acclaim. So, ‘kick back with a brew’ and listen to the unique sound of Ironweed….
