5.0 out of 5 stars A view of Old Swansea, 20 May 2011
This review is from: Down the Memory Lanes of My Hafod (Paperback)
I grew up in Swansea in the 60s and 70s so had heard a lot about the war from my parents and could also remember the buildings in the Hafod.

This book added to the stories I had listened to as a youngster and also touched on the fears of a child during wartime.

I was very interested in the detail of the work being done in the Landore works at the time (and also the history of the works) and to read about ICI workers benefits (for want of a better description). I was surprised to hear that the two week summer holiday was introduced so late.

All in all a great read.
