First Sentence
Over the past two years, the fact that I have been endeavouring to produce a "gardening" book has been a constant source of amusement to my family and friends, who know how I truly feel about toiling in the garden, and didn't think I would be bold enough to admit to it here. Read the first page

I have only words of praise for this book because the photographer has used such a creative technique which maximises the features of these fantastic babies.
Each photo is a work of art, quite fascinating. One enters into a little fairytale world of little flowers, fruits, vegetables and animals, where it is impossible and unnecessary to comprehend just how Anne Geddes has created these pictures. It is enough to have the privilege to enter into this magical world.
I continue to take much pleasure in looking through this book; every time I find some little detail that I have missed.
It makes a wonderfully original present for a new Mum or, like me, for a new Grandparent!

The photographs are excellent quality, and show images of babies and children sleeping peacefully (for the most part). Many of them are in costume, and the picture composition is imaginative and captivating.

I am giving this book as a wedding gift for my best friend, and cannot think of a more appropriate present for a couple who love children.

A beautiful book of photographs by New Zealand photographer Anne Gedes. Two years in production it contains truly brilliant photos of babies in various guises related to the garden.

Obviously painstakingly produced to extremely high photographic standards, and a unique approach to child photography. There aren't many photographic works that eminate from New Zealand, but if this is the only one it will set a standard that other photographers will have to work hard to beat.

It is exceptional in so many ways, and the humour of each study is so beautifully contrived that they cannot fail to appeal.

It is notoriously difficult to photograph babies (most of Anne's subjects are only months old) so the time, patience, skill and unbelievable resources employed are nothing but stupendous.

As a working photographer I am used to the difficulties related to certain subjects, and I can honestly say that a project such as this would prove daunting to most. Full marks to the author and the team that produced this wonderful book, I hope that its success can be repeated on another theme.
