Product Description

Review

Exuberant rhyming story celebrating the chaos of everyday life and the power of the imagination. (Independent on Sunday )

Its inventive language and detailed collage illustrations… will amuse children of three and over… This is a simple story but it zips along and …the language really fizzes (Daily Telegraph )

The entertainment, humour, and exuberance of it all arises from what Dad finds... Mahy's text rollicks along in rhythm and rhyme, and Polly Dunbar's graphics are akin to a fireworks display on the page; words, phrases and pictorial images metaphorically pop up and explode like stardust over the double spreads (School Librarian )

Mahy and Dunbar are a stunning team, the visual dexterity of one playing with the verbal twists and turns of the other. (INIS )

Another great romp of a book with the most wonderful pictures. The words are not quite as fabulous as 'Bubble Trubble' but still a great read that my daughter loves.

Our favourite book 6 April 2010
Format:Paperback
This book was given as a gift when my baby son was born. I think it's intended for 3+ years but my son has loved it since he was about 6 months old. It's our favourite book by far. Despite having read it almost every day, we're still not bored of it! The illustrations are lively and fun, and the story itself is amusing and imaginative. It was a great present to receive.

My 4 year old son borrowed this book from the library last week and he absolutely loves it so I've decided to buy it for him. Its a fun book to read to him before bedtime with upbeat rhymes and bright pictures that will easily entertain young children and parents.
