This is the album which broke Eros Ramazzotti out of the niche latin market onto the worldwide stage; "Piu Bella Cosa" even got several airplays in the UK! A rich, meticulously-crafted oeuvre, it also marks the artist's newly-acquired control over all production values, and it shows throughout. From the opening driving chords of "Dove 'ce Musica", the album swerves through merengue and salsa (but always with a contemporary feel; "Yo Sin Ti"), with the odd nod to techno/house. What really stands out, however, are the ballads ("Stella Gemella", "L'Aurora" are shining examples) which do most justice to the sheer quality of Ramazzotti's singing voice.
An album which simply makes you feel good after every listen, leave behind any reservations you might have about foreign language music and get it! Eros Ramazzotti deserves an audience in the UK.
