Well written and enjoyable to read. A very thorough guide to the history of region, the styles of Port and the producers. If you want to know about Port, this is the book to read.

Gave this book to a good friend who has formed a circle of fellow connoisseurs of port wine. I read enough of the book to know that it contains some interesting background on the particularities of this specialty product and its history.
