This book is good for both beginner and for the more experienced. It has very easy to follow patterns and the pictures are very clear and colourful. There are a lot of modern designed clothes for babies and toddlers and they are all very versatile. Would recommend this book to all my friends.

What excellent knits! They're all double knit so they grow really quickly. The instructions are really easy to follow and the patterns range from very easy to quite a challenge. This means you can expand your range from basic stocking stitch with some increase and decrease to fairisle.
I have already completed 3 hats (you can just about get two out of the wool recommended) and have had a request for the 4th (and it'll only take an evening to make). The breton jumper looks great on my little boy! And my little girl would like something a bit more complicated; the jumper with the children motif. My kids are twins, so are the children modelling the knitwear, very cute!
You really should give this book a go if you're thinking of starting a project or if you're looking for a first knit for an older child (there's an excellent, simple, teddy).

Although this book claims to have patterns from birth, the only thing in it that is not from 6 months is a patchwork blanket which was disppointing.
That said the clothes to knit are delightful, but don't expect to get knitting straight away if you are still expecting.
