My five year old loves playing this game. Which is a good thing too, as she completed it (without any help) within ONE hour of starting to play it for the first time. Luckily she enjoys replaying it.
The mini games are simple, the story is short. However if your child enjoyed the other Dora/Diego games for the DS, you'll be used to short stories and easy mini game. In which case, enjoy! If you're after something that is long and in-depth, this is not the game for you!

Fun:
I agree with the sentiments of the previous person. This is not a long game compared to other ds games. . however, my little boy who is just coming up for 3 years old absolutely loves it and is learning control skills using the pen. I'm now looking for other games with his favourite characters.

I bought this game for my daughter on her fourth birthday, the PEGI rating is 3+. The game took her half an hour to complete!
My advice to anyone looking for a game suitable for anyone older then three is buy something else.
Othrwise, this game is very good. It includes counting and colours in Spanish. Plus visio spacial awareness and hand eye co-ordination.
Overall: Good but not age appropriate.

Dora's Big Birthday Adventure (NintendoDS)
My great granddaughter wanted this game for Christmas. She was absolutely delighted with it as she is a great fan of Dora the Explorer.
