Feature-length animated adventure with Dora the Explorer and her pet cat, Boots. The story sees Dora, Boots, and the Snowflake Fairy attempting to save Princess Sabrina and her snowy forest from a nasty witch who has imprisoned her in a tower and stolen her magic snow crystal.
Synopsis
With her cheerful nature, inquiring mind, and colourful fashion sense, Nickelodeon's adorable bilingual heroine Dora the Explorer has charmed both preschoolers and their parents alike. Designed to simulate a computer game, the animated series follows the cute little Latina girl, her monkey pal Boots, and their anthropomorphic cohorts Map and Backpack as they set out on problem-solving adventures that encourage interaction and physical activity while teaching simple concepts such as counting, logic skills, and basic Spanish. In this feature-length adventure, Dora and her pals go on a mission to save the Snow Princess from a diabolical witch. But will they make it in time to prevent the snowy forest from melting?

I ignored the previous review and bought this anyway as my daughter is a huge Dora fan. Currently glued to it. The story is about saving the Snow Princess, as the title suggests, the flying horse is incidental. As usual, Miss Dora Goody-Two-Shoes saves someone from something - it's all pretty predictable stuff but - you know what? My daughter loves it and it's very feel good and chirpy. There is the Snow Princess story, and two other episodes - Doctor Dora (the one with Benny sneezing, which will be familiar to any viewer of Nick Jnr as they must have shown this episode about a billion times) and Whose Birthday Is It? (also a regular Nick Jnr episode) but it's worth the price of the DVD alone for the Snow Princess episode, if you're a Dora fan. The usual Dora fare, but we like it! :-)

My youngest daughter is Dora mad and I thought that this DVD of her is a little more girly, it held my daughters interest (she is only 2) would buy again.

Keeps kids quiet
Bought this as a xmas present for my daughter and she thought it was great, shes only 3 and found it to be entertaining and watched it a couple of times over the xmas period.
