The Door is an excellent song on its own but is given extra credit when teamed with the psychedelic sound of The Boss and an excellent cover of Linda Lewis' Reach Out. Olly and Gale once again prove that their talent is unstoppable and over-whelming and this single is only one of their many superb releases

I must say that I'm impressed with this. Turin Brakes have created a wonderfully harmonious single that puts them way ahead of most contemporary pop-rock bands. This is in the same league as the tracks on their new album, The Optimist, which seems to mirror their talent. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that they will find "big success" immediately, although they should be recognised in the industry soon. They have also had a pleasing amount of radio airplay, although it still seems that they are subject to anonymity, like all great starting bands (like Terris, although really they have been around for a year or so now). Another band that shows that you have to look for great music to find it.
