Joram, forger of the mystical weapon "The Darksword", born without magic: a birthright of every citizen, and denied his rightful place in royalty...Joined by the priest Saryon, the one who loves Joram like his son, keeper of the true past of Joram, and all round worrier. What is this secret that burns in him so? And why does he feel so close to Joram? The magic-user Mosiah, Joram's best friend, who has a power inside him that is yet to be unlocked. The jokester Simkin, clown, story teller, and comedy relief all wrapped in one. But what secret agenda does he have? And why do the companions not fully trust him? These and more are explained in "Doom of the Darksword". A thrilling read, about the companions adventures in the magical kingdom of Merilon. Leaving off after the first book "Forging the Darksword", this book picks up after Joram's battle with an evil warlock. Coming together, they meet new friends, make new enemies, outside and within themselves. The books are centred around the character Joram. However, the authors handle the characters in a delightful way. Although it is about Joram, the readers only get a feel for Joram and his feelingsby the interactions of the other characters. The readers never really get inside Joram, and how he feels, what he thinks, and this makes the story all the more exciting. Top book, but read a biography if you wish to gain something more.
