Stunning! 22 July 2008

I heard a track from this album by chance on the radio and was stunned, so I bought the album and was stunned again by about half of the tracks. If you like high tempo music such as dance (i.e. disco) music or punk, and you're not sure whether you are into bagpipes and fiddles or not, give this a go.

Format:Audio CD
This CD continues the string of fantastic recordings by one of the all-time great Scottish bands. Not to be missed is the classic Robert Burns song, My Love is Like a Red Red Rose, sung by Alan Reid to a new and very lovely tune. Also memorable is Sean O'Donnell on the upbeat song I'm Going to Set You Free. The great Mike Katz on pipes, and Alasdair White on fiddle round out the sound of this soaring collection. If you are not familiar with the band, then this is a great CD to start with - if you are already a fan, then I'm preaching to the choir.

definitely a must have for anyone who is into Battlefield Band, or any celtic/Scottish/World music. fun and thoughtful. i love it and i play it atleast once a week!
