Dont turn away is an epic tour de force of the beginnings of a band who helped to shape the emo-punk scene. Drawing influences from black flag and The clash and combining thrash punk with stunning vocal harmonies and deep lyrics the album reflects the discontent of american youth."problem with your life " is a harsh attack on the booze and drug culture sweeping the country.This album released on the Fat wrechords label combines the unique style of face to face with the more tried and tested formula of NOFX and No Use For A Name creating an album that is accessable and which can offer something to everyone except Ollie Ward . Buy this album it might change your life.

This energy-filled, fast paced, melodic album has changed the way I look at music. It is FANTASTIC. Considering it was their debut album, I'd say face to face certainly raised the bar for other bands. Please, if you are a fan of good music, buy this album. You won't be disappointed.

Im a huge fan of this band. Although im older, and my tastes in music have changed...this band, never-the-less this record still is in constant play in my tape deck or CD player nowadays. Every track is awesome, you can relate to all the lyrics. Everyone benifits. Pick up Dont Turn away and youll be holding arguably the best punk rock record of the 1990's!

I love this CD, and this is coming from someone who is not a tremendous fan of punk. The music has so much life and energy; listen to it and try to stop yourself from jumping around the room. And the lyrics are full of longing; Disconnected rips my heart out everytime I hear it. This CD really moves me!
