I first heard Maeve Mackinnon when she was playing support for another band I'd gone to see and then had to go out immediately and buy this album purely to own a copy of Ho ro hug o hug o. The whole album is good though and was the only CD I ever played in my car for months with everyone who heard it wanting to know who the singer was. There are songs in English and Gaelic and an added bonus is that even if you don't speak Gaelic you might find yourself singing along as if you did! Buy it and enjoy.

In August I had the pleasure to listen to Maeve, and to speak with her
at the fantastic "North Sea Festival" here in Farsund, south Norway.
She was wonderful, and we hope to se her back again as soon as possible.
Her only solo album so far, "Dont Sing Love Songs" is brilliant and now I am looking forward to the next one!
