Book Description

A unique, winning strategy for getting the job you've always dreamt of

Product Description

Don't Send A CV is all about getting the perfect job by flagrantly disregarding the conventional job-seeking methods and, instead, going for the prize position by being dynamic, daring and displaying all the winning attributes of the person everyone needs in their company.

Bestselling author Jeffrey J Fox teaches you how to act like a business supremo with excellent insider advice, from how to give the best impression over a lunch interview - 'You are not there to eat!' - to how to sell yourself as an 'impact player' in a brief but selling letter - '...get your hands dirty, pick up a shovel and start shoveling to demonstrate your ability to impact that company'.

The winning strategies of Don't Send A CV include:

-CV's don't sell, so learn how to market yourself

-Don't ask for directions, tell them how you'll do it

-Make a big splash, not lots of ripples

-Don't talk in an interview - answer, ask, listen and sell

With clear steps from how to find and research your ideal company, calculate your worth, preplan an interview and learn the 'jobseekers' glossary', this is an uplifting book that can help readers get back in the game with a head start.

This is the only book I bought to help me get a job but it was all I needed to get interviews for practically all jobs I applied for!

Fox rightly takes the salesman approach to getting a job (a key element of which is the CV, but isn't the sole focus). He covers all aspects of research, gaining attention, going for interview and backs these all up with memorable illustrations.

In just three weeks of buying this book I've got an ideal job less than a mile from my home with excellent career prospects.

Dillute some of the blatant forwardness in the book and mix with general career advice through the web and you'll land a job in no time. Buy this book if you are serious about getting a job.

I read the book in one sitting and it inspires me in many ways. As a marketing graduate, it is quite a challenge to enter the marketing field. If you are like me, this is the book you must have because it simply works. I have recommended a number of my friends to purchase the book. If you want a book about CV or Cover letter, this is the book!
