Low in information, high in cost (for what it tells you, which isn't that much really!)

I bought this after reading all these 'great' reviews. I am a student with a deep interest in hypnosis and after buying this and reading from cover to cover - I came out knowing a few induction techniques... Not all of them worked 'for me' but that isn't the problem. That's pretty much the only hypnosis that you get taught. The majority of the book is a huge section on 'what hypnosis is', e.g - it's not a 'trance', just a 'state' etc. Most of which you already know! The reason you are buying books that claim to teach you 'how to be a confident and origional hypnotist' is because you already know what it is, you buy it because you want to be taught how to do it!
Anyway I'm sorry but this book just doesn't do it. In fact I haven't yet found a book that tells you how to do the inductions AND continue to say how you know when they are 'under' and not just sitting there, relaxed simply because of the quite room you're in and with their eyes shut because... You've told them to :S (and why wouldn't they?)
I also contacted the author on facebook, sending him huge paragraphs like this but all I got in return was one sentence answers telling me to 'buy my books on Amazon.com'
All in all, waste of money - doesn't tell you anything you wouldn't already know, alot of reviews say this, but I mean literally - if you have an interest in hypnosis at all, reason enough for you to look at buying a book on the subject! You will already know all of the 80% first section of the book.
Word of warning, don't buy it. It will not teach you how to 'become a confident and origional hypnotist'.

Jonathan Chase is very opinionated. But is upfront about this and gives great, useful information. I have been practicing hypnosis successfully for ten plus years and I benefited from his book. Highly recommended. jch

Its all in the title, confident, original, hypnotist. The author gives us the benefit of 30 years in the business. use his ideas you will not go far wrong. If you do not understand maybe you are making the mistake of complicating hypnosis. K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid).
