Product Description

Product Description

When the authors bought their Inter-Rail tickets, those magic passports to a month’s unlimited rail travel in Europe, they had no idea that they would soon tear through more than a country a day, constantly escaping from a trail of bemused girls, angry policemen, angry campsite owners, angry nutters, more bemused girls, angry restaurateurs, and other assorted angry Europeans.

This classic book is a hilarious travelogue about three Inter-Railers who endure water cannons, arrests, undesirables and each other during a hot, sticky month that left most of the continent dazed, confused and smelling of ‘Inter-Rail Feet’.

‘. . . cheerful account of travels by train around Europe by three musicians who did their best to annoy everybody they met.’
The Times

‘A breath of fresh air in the overly serious business of travel writing.’
Adventure Travel

‘It’s all aboard for a brilliant true story of three boys’ manic journey across Europe by rail – it’s bad taste, bad language and a vital travel accessory.’

5.0 out of 5 stars A true classic 13 Oct 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am probably sad, tasteless and uncouth. I am certainly not going to see 50 again except on the road, so if I am a twisted individual then I am beyond hope, but this book is a classic one-off stroke of genius. The only requirement for enjoying it is a sense of humour, which all too many seem to have had amputated these days. Read, enjoy, laugh out loud, and wish you had been there!
