discovered this album by accident ten years ago,i have probably played it every day since.this band should have been bigger than bon jovi, def leppard or any other in this field of rock.why this album is not held up as a land mark release of it,s type is a mystery to me,if you like the aforementioned bands,do yourself a favour and buy this album.back in the year of release, every track on it could have been released as a single.the greatest unknown rock album ever.

debut dazzler 19 Nov 2008
Format:Audio CD
Its 1991 and rock is becoming diluted with mediocre bands sounding tired and dated. Grunge is just around the corner. Danny Vaughn and co didn't read the script and hit us with their debut offering 'Don't Come Easy'.

A band with good melodies and a hard edge to their sound. This CD even now excites me when I play it. Opener 'Forever Young' starts as it means to go on, great riff and sing-a-long chorus. 'Wings' is a solid track, 'Burning Down Inside' slow tempo to start but a foot stomping chorus.

'Seasons', 'Lay Your Body Down' and 'Strip Me Down' are cheeky numbers that use a touch of blues for flavour but still have some thought into their arrangement. 'Nothing But Love' is a good pop rock ditty, 'Walk On Fire' another riff monster to air guitar to!

'Sail Away' ends the album with an up-tempo accoustic/electric mix that will have you singing along long after the record has finished. That leaves the ballad 'Standing Alone'...

Before I go on let me say this; this band is a tight unit who know their craft and play to a high standard, which is obvious throughout the album. Danny Vaughn's vocals take this to a whole new level, what a voice. Full of emotion and he comes to the fore on 'Standing Alone'.

This song could be about any young man's broken heart with lyrics that paint an all knowing scene... 'Staring out the window/ Like I'm waiting for a change/ As if I stared long enough/ I'd see it when it came'. We've all been there!!

This album will not dissapoint those who like a hard edge to their rock. Vaughn's vocals are a joy and worthy of mention in those lists of the top 50 best singers. I was lucky to see these guys live and Mr. Vaughn was superb in the flesh too, consumate professional.

If you already have their second album 'Stregnth In Numbers' this is the better purchase. Add 'Don't Come Easy' to your collection, its a classic!!

Undiscovered classic 19 Dec 2007
Format:Audio CD
I can't believe that there isn't a review for this. Back in the day when I was a huge rock fan this was one of my favorite CDs It really is awesome. Crunchy guitars loads of hooks and a great singer not disimilar to Jim Jamison of Survivor. It's worth owning for "Forever Young" alone. If you're fond of Jovi, Hardline and rock of that ilk it won't disappoint and if you like "Strength In Numbers" buy this because it's even better!
